Forever 21 continues F21 RED US expansion
US teen apparel retailer Forever 21 has revealed plans to continue the expansion of its F21 RED stores, with more than 40 new locations due to open across the US before the end of the year.
The first three F21 RED stores will open this month, with the following stores due to roll out across San Antonio, Texas, Bronx, New York and Chicago, Illinois over the next eight months.
By the end of the year, the new locations will take the F21 RED total store count above 70.
"We are excited to announce that we will be growing F21 RED's presence in 2017," says Linda Chang, vice president of merchandising at Forever 21. "F21 RED expansion represents an important and exciting opportunity for our growth plan, and will allow us to bring a wide variety of product at competitive prices to new regional areas for our increasing customer base."
Launched in 2014 as a new store concept, F21 RED locations offer Forever 21 products alongside items from the company's sub-brands, including Forever 21 Men, Forever 21 Plus, and Forever 21 Girls at what it calls "entry-level price points".
Today, Forever 21 operates more than 815 stores in 57 countries.
Last year, the company confirmed it is to shutter its flagship store in Causeway Bay, a move analysts said may have been due to the cooling down of the fast fashion trend in Hong Kong, coupled with high rent charges.
