Amazon rolls out first fashion-focused TV campaign



Online retail giant Amazon has unveiled its first fashion specific television advertisement, geared at marketing its move to carry brands with higher price points and to further state its position as a leader in apparel.

The company is rolling out its latest campaign across the US, UK, Germany and Austria during September and October. The 30-second advertisement shows a series of stylish women delivering Amazon Fashion boxes, dressed head to toe in fashion brands now available on the company's website.

These include Paul & Joe, Nadie H, Tommy Hilfiger, 7ForAllMankind, American Retro, Petite Bateau, Levi's, Lacoste, Hugo Boss, Mango, Filippa K, Vanessa Bruno and French Connection. In terms of footwear, Amazon now carries shoes by Missoni, Moschino and New Balance alongside underwear and swimwear from Emporio Armani and underwear by Calvin Klein.

The company has been delivering fashion since 2007 and was tipped by analysts at Cowen & Company earlier this year to replace Macy's as the number one US apparel retailer by 2017.
