28m visitor boost for Yoox Net-a-Porter as H1 sales leap

All is well in fashion’s electronic world. Boasting around 28m unique visitors in H1, online retailer Yoox Net-a-Porter posted a 15.8% leap in half-year revenues, driven by its multi-brand off-season sales.

Sales for the six months rose to €897m ($998.5m), just a million euros short of analysts’ expectations. Currency neutral sales rose 13.3% year-on-year. Q2 sales alone rose 17%.

Adjusted ebitda also rose to €76.5m, beating analysts’ €71m call.

Adjusted net income was also up 14.2% to €37m. However that was down to €18.8m for the Italian listed company, taking into account costs of over €18m for last October’s merger costs.

The group said it attracted 28m average monthly unique visits in H1, compared with 26.15m a year ago. It also handled 3.9m orders, up from 3.3m a year ago, with the average order price down slightly to €354. There were 2.6m active customers in the first half, up from 2.3m last time.
