The company said that the four months to June 30 saw total revenue growth of 12%, with the UK and rest-of-world (RoW) remaining “robust”. But in Europe and the US, sales were h
It may come as something of a surprise but it seems that most consumers welcome Asos’s controversial new returns policy with 76% of shoppers (including serial returners) in favour of it, new research from delivery specialist Whistl shows. In April, Asos announced a clampdown with the threat of it closing the accounts of those too often buying huge volumes of items with every intention of returning them, and especially those who buy, wear once and then return pieces.
Asos has released a list of the items that its 20-something customers bought into enthusiastically last year and a number of the trends look set to resonate with consumers in 2019 too. Particularly important was animal print as the wide variety of pattern stories that come under this umbrella continue to morph from a short-term trend into more classic, wear-anytime, status. Leopard and snake were both key with animal print product demand rising 223% year-on-year on the site.

Shares in UK online Fashion retail giants remain depressed after falling late last week on the back of a US Supreme Court ruling that ended the restriction on states collecting sales tax from webstores. A 1990s ruling had obliged states to add sales tax only if e-tailers had a physical presence within their borders, but with the ruling overturned, it means sales tax will be added to all transactions. The aim is to level the playing field between physical store retailers and t
